"Information is a source of learning. But unless it is organized,
processed, and available to the right people in a format for
decision making, it is a burden, not a benefit."
-- William Pollard

Welcome to The Bright Side
Support and resources for coping with depression, grief, suicide, mental illness, and emotional crisisThe Bright Side was created as a means of support - whether you are dealing with depression, grief, suicide, mental illness, emotional crisis, or are just feeling overwhelmed with life, you are not alone! We all go through difficult periods in our lives, when everyday life feels like it's just too much to bear. A little support can go a long way towards helping us cope - and that is what The Bright Side is all about. On The Bright Side you will find educational materials, articles by top experts, personal stories, and other resources to help you cope with depression, grief, suicide, or whatever mental or emotional difficulty you or your loved one may be experiencing.

We are constantly updating our resources and information on depression, grief, suicide, mental illness and emotional well being, as well as expanding the site to include many more features and sections on other mental illnesses and emotional issues. We welcome your feedback and if you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact us. We also invite you to join our mailing list using the form below to receive our monthly e-newsletter along with special announcements. For our privacy statement, click here. If you have a personal story of coping with depression, grief, suicide, mental illness or emotional crisis, please share your story with us.

Special Announcement

Invitation To Share:  Hi all, my name is Sara and I am in the process of obtaining information for a book I plan to write. The aim of this book is to look at issues that people with mental and related physical illness deal with today in a frank manner. You would have the opportunity to share your experiences, thoughts and opinions on a wide array of subjects. This is not a paid invitation, any effort you put forth would be voluntary. While your experiences, thoughts and views would be shared your private information would remain confidential at all times. I am also looking for volunteers from the people around you, your parents, relatives, friends and significant others. If this is something you would be interested in please contact me for more information and for the list of requested information at: sarajane.neal@gmail.com. Please feel free to forward this invitation to anyone else you know that might also be interested.

Thank you,

Sara Neal
